After more than a year in the wilderness FSF has moved back to our old haunt of Dooleys at Lidcombe. Dooleys Lidcombe was the venue for FSF meetings and events for over 10 years before price increases forced FSF to look for a cheaper venue. That venue became Bankstown Sports and we have enjoyed their facilities since October 2006. However, members have told us that Dooleys Lidcombe was a better venue option primarily due to ease of public transport and its location is more Sydney central. The move back to Dooleys, which has proven to be a friendly venue, is an exciting one for FSF as we aim to increase our meeting turnout to that which it was before the move in 2006. The July 13 meeting will also include our first members rewards prize draw which is for members who have introduced new members to the club in the last quarter of the year. Up for grabs is a general ticket to the November Culture Shock Events Stargate Event in Sydney. With a newly renovated venue and bistro (perhaps the kids playground will now be open) and a meeting schedule that will include Star Trek of Gods and Men, don't miss our July meeting.
