Who are Friends of Science Fiction?Friends of Science Fiction (FSF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to allowing fans of any type of science fiction or fantasy to gather and meet fellow fans in a safe, fun and rewarding enviroment. What does FSF do?FSF runs a monthly meeting on the second Sunday each month where fans of science fiction and fantasy come together to catch up on the latest episodes of your favourite shows. In addition FSF also have special local and international guests appearing at our meetings from time to time, plus other events throughout the year. On the social front we have regular movie nights and hold an annual picinic for members. What does membership of FSF include?Being a member of FSF gives you the following benefits: * a monthly newsletter; * discount on entry to meetings; * discount on entry to our events; and * an FSF membership card which entitles you to discounts at some of Sydney's best science fiction and fantasy stores including Galaxy Bookshop, High Court Cards and Sydney Games Centre to name a few. What does membership of FSF cost and how do I join?Membership of FSF is: $30.00 for single membership, $40.00 for family membership, $55.00 for international membership. Joining FSF is as simple as downloading the application and sending it off to us. Or better still come along to our next meeting and join up in person. Where do funds raised by FSF go?Annual membership fees, meeting cover charges and funds raised through auctions go towards the cost of maintaining this site, publishing the newsletter and running the monthly meetings.
